Abstract
This article examines the application of linear programming in solving real life problems. Data used for this study was collected from Starline Nigeria Limited Aba. The data was analyzed using the graphical and simplex methods of linear programming; both methods proffered the same solution to the stated problem. The methodology and various steps used in applying the linear programming problem were discussed in detail to internalize the understanding of the tool’s application. It was discovered in the analysis that the company needed to produce 12 units of bar soaps and 6 units of cream bottles every 6 hours production time to minimize losses and maximize profits.
